Christmas 2012

We had a great Christmas this year!  It was such a crazy time for us with moving and all the work we did on the house but we were still able to do a lot of fun Christmas traditions.  It was fun being able to decorate the house for the first time.

We volunteered to have the annual Nunes/Martindale Christmas party at our house since a lot of our family members had not seen the finished product after all the work we did on it.  Keith's parents helped us dry wall the play room when they were down a couple of months before but we needed to sand down the joints, spray on texture, and paint it.  Having the party at the house gave us good incentive to get it done!  It was a lot of work but I LOVE how it turned out!  It's so nice to have a place where the kids can play.

The play room completely done just in time for the Christmas party :)

Pictures from the Christmas party, we had a blast!  My cute mom really out-did herself this year and did a "12 days of Christmas" thing for all the grand kids!  The night of the party was the last gift, the kids got so spoiled! :)

I send out Christmas cards every year and usually like to get a professional family picture taken first but things had been so hectic that I ended up just taking a few pictures myself and throwing together a Christmas card (these are some of the pictures below that were on our card). Hopefully next year I will be more on the ball!  I thought the pictures of the kids in their Christmas jammies turned out pretty cute :)

One evening we took the kids to see the lights at the Riverwoods mall, they were so cool!  They had live music and free carriage rides, the kids loved it!

Some Christmas baking and crafting :)

Our countdown chain to Christmas!

Christmas morning!

Keith's parents were able to spend Christmas morning with us before they headed back home.  It was so fun watching the kids open their gifts.  Isaac was fun this year compared to last year because he understood more of what was going on.

After we opened presents we said goodbye to Keith's parents and then headed over to my mom's.  We were so excited because all of us kids went in on a Kindle Fire for my mom.  She LOVED it!  After we hung out at my mom's for a little bit we headed over to my dad's to open present there.

 Loved her reaction!

Merry Christmas!!
