Malea got her ears pierced today! We have been talking about it for a couple of months, I told her straight up that it does hurt but only for a minute and then she would have cute earrings. Today when we were at the mall we saw another little girl getting hers done. Malea said that she wanted to get hers done really bad but she was scared it was going to hurt. We didn't want to pressure her and were leaving it up to her. We went home to give her more time to think about it. You could tell she was really conflicted because she wanted them pierced but she was scared.
We got home and she went next door to talk to her BFF about her pierced ears and how it went for her. The first thing she said was, "It hurted." Lol. Well at least she was honest!
Eventually she started getting really excited and pumped about it. I think this helped calm the nerves. She told me she was "so excited to space and back" (so cute).
So after Isaac woke up from his nap we headed back out to the mall and she was determined. I was really worried that she would chicken out at the last minute and we'd have to pay for it anyway, but she did awesome!
Getting ready (she did NOT want Daddy to leave her side!)
Apprehensive....(we brought her blankie for comfort) :)
Here we go!.....
DONE!! Waiting for the cry....and.....nothing! She didn't even cry! I was shocked!
SO cute!
(She had this look on her face for a little while after, she never cried though!)
Picking out earrings for when she can switch them out (in SIX weeks....sheesh)
Such a big girl! And just in time for Kindergarten!
